Artist Statement
A few years ago I had a simple realization. I realised I want to see what cannot be seen and to recognise the beyond. My prayer is that with each eye blink, my eyes will be opened afresh, my seeing untainted to truths.
Through the photography medium I attempt to capture that which I know, often feel but seldom see.

My greatest love in photography is landscape, which drives me to travel around Malaysia to find the perfect locations for photos. My work has allowed me to travel abroad extensively to popular destinations as well as exotic locations. My camera is never far from hand.Photography to me is not just a form of self-expression but also a powerful communication tool that conveys facts, stories, emotions, mood and many forms of artistic interpretation of a subject.

Artist Statement
As like most photographers I’ve always had a passion for black & white photography. Not only is it to me, a more aesthetic and timeless medium, but also a way of remaining in total creative control of my vision. From the conceptualization of the work, to the photography and the process of printing, as the artist and creator, I am always in control. The only difference today, as opposed to about ten years ago when the first photograph in this series was taken, is that instead of your hand getting cramped from dodging and burning on an enlarger is it now gets cramped from dodging and burning on a mouse. Our means to an end may have changed but the end result is still the same, or as some may argue, even better. Two of these photographs represent for me the tip of an unfinished iceberg, it is something that started long ago as a casual portrait session but opened the door for an ongoing series of work. The two female portraits are part of a series of nudes on a box that have been growing at a snails pace. Although they are essentially nudes, my intention behind the series is not to connote immorality or perversity, but in effect it is a method of creating awareness of equality, to be viewed as simply portraits of people that have been stripped of class and status, void of materialism.
I believe that one day the series will be completed.
